چکیده
Rare earth activated powders are widely regarded as promising candidates for optical thermometry due to their unique photoluminescence characteristics. The paper presents the structural and luminescent properties of crystalline gadolinium yttrium oxides (Gd1−xYx)2O3, doped with Nd3+ ions, synthesized by liquid polymer-salt method. addition polyvinylpyrrolidone increases homogeneity mixture ensures high adhesion resulting powders. Scanning electron microscopy shows that μm-sized aggregates, which consist particles several tens nanometers in size. A smooth shift diffraction peaks occurs when Gd is replaced Y without additional peaks. successive decrease lattice constant from 10.816 10.607 Å confirms existence continuous solid solutions system. Stark sublevels 4F3/2 → 4I9/2 fluorescent band shifted 4 nm since strength local field has a stronger effect on inner F-shell Nd ions case Y. For thermometry, we chose ratio fluorescence intensities between 4F3/2(2) 4I9/2(2) 4F3/2(1) 4I9/2(2). best obtained sensitivity 0.22% °C−1 Nd-doped GdYO3 powder range 10–70 °C. This value temperature sensitivity, together radiation excitation lying biological window, opens possibility using Nd3+-doped (Gd1−xYx)2O3 real-time thermal probing under tissue luminescence sub-degree resolution.

Luminescence Properties of Oxyfluoride Glass and Glass Ceramic Doped with Y3 + Ions
Oxyfluoride glass ceramics containing CaF2nano-crystals doped with Y3+ ions were prepared by one-step crystallization of SiO2- Al2O3- CaO- CaF2 glasses at different temperatures. X- ray diffraction (XRD) results have revealed that CaF2 was the only precipitated crystalline phase in glass ceramic samples. According to the XRD results, a glass ceramic was selected as the best sample in order to ...

The new material consisting of Gd1.6Dy0.4(WO4)3 incorporated into silica xerogel was prepared via the coprecipitation method. The luminescence properties of the studied material were analyzed by means of emission and excitation spectra, including the result of luminescence lifetimes of Dy(III) ion. The enhanced yellow emission due to the excitation energy transfer from group to Dy(III) ion upon...

متن کاملSynthesis and structural properties of Mn-doped ZnO/Graphene nanocomposite
Zinc oxide (ZnO) is a promising metal oxide semiconductor with various applications, especially in the photocatalytic destruction of environmental pollutants. However, this nanoparticle has some limitations, such as poor dispersion, aggregation, and a wide energy gap. As such, the doping of metal oxide semiconductor has been strongly recommended. Addition of manganese (Mn) has proven effective ...
